Can I skip Tuesday?

There are things you don't want to do but you just have to. I've got one of those days tomorrow.

Have to take my brother up to the hospital for a bunch of tests (colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy). They're hoping to find out what's up with his anemia and to see if he really has any internal bleeding. Don't know yet if this will affect what we do for his PC yet or if they'll order any CT scans. We're hoping it's just a problem with his meds and a simple adjustment will fix it but I hate to tempt Murphy's law too much on that score.

My wife kindly offered to come along to help support us and wham - she got hit by the same bug I had. Only her cold is much worse than mine so tonight we agreed that maybe she'll can just give encouragement from her sick bed. Sigh...

We have appointment for next Monday with the Uro to get the pathology report on his PC. There's another conversation with a doctor I don't want.

At least I got some shop time this last weekend. Might not get anymore for awhile.

Sounds like you need a lot more shop time, Andrew, and a whole lot less going to the doctor time.

I am finally home from the adventure with my brother. The hardest part was that the hospital has a construction project going on and the parking garage and roads in and out are a mess. We ended up at the wrong clinic and had to get back in the car and drive to the other side of the hospital grounds to get to the one we needed to be in.

Nothing was found in the colon. They did find stomach polyps that were bleeding. The removed the three worst of those. The doc thought this was likely the cause of the anemia and a good chance that he'll be fine now. They retest in 8 weeks and if all is okay then he's done. There is a slight chance they might go into to remove more. There are a couple of others that don't look good but the doctor said they can only remove so many at one time.

So the news is good on this front. Next Monday we get the PC pathology report. We're hoping his a candidate for AS. He's had enough so far this year and I'd hate to push him into any PC treatments until he's recovered from what they've done so far.
