Now we know why... but not looking forward to the solutions

Hubby starting experiencing the symptoms of ANOTHER bladder infection.  This would be the 4th in 2 months.  Saw the PA at the urologist's office yesterday.  Yes, another bladder infection.  But they finally decided to try to find out WHY he's having these problems.  They did an ultrasound.  Turns out his bladder does not empty completely now.  Urine has been sitting in his bladder, which irritates the still unhealed tissues, and bacteria build up... etc. 

So... on cipro to try to clear up the infection, then they will do a cystoscope and try to stretch the scar tissue that partially blocking bladder.  If that doesn't work, he'll have to have more surgery.  Don't you just love all the unexpected consequences.  

(sorry- don't mean to sound so negative, but I had JUST registered to take an art class at a local community college because everyone that I an in charge of caring for SEEMED to be doing better.  If it's not one thing... it's three or four.)

Thanks Bronson!  I not only take care of hubby (he really doesn't need a lot of care- yet), but also mu mother-in-law 9strokes, heart problems, broken hip, etc.) and mother (knee and  back problems, diabetes, high bp, etc.).  Daughter has 2 sons ages 3 and soon to be 5 and son's wife is expecting our first granddaughter in the next month.  Hubby, brother-in-law, sister, mother and I own several businesses (inherited from father) and we're all involved to one degree or another in managing them.  So rather a full plate.  But you are correct about taking care of yourself.  I've always preached that to others.  I ha bunion and toe fusion surgery in December and really wanted to do something for ME once I was back on my feet.  Thus the ceramics class this fall.  Sister has been 'doing' art classes for several years and really pushed me to, too.  Here's hoping everyone stays relatively healthy and that hubby won't need the surgery!!!  

i have been a i.c. sufferer for a number of years. i`ve been scoped multiple times and had my bladder stretched as therapy for the i.c. it does really help for awhile after they do it. hope it works for you.
