Bill, I was not talking about
my new doctor, the woman from India, she is first class, she only asked me to consider acupuncture because, as she said, I am fast running out of conventional options with so much pain and how its continuing to spread into other areas of my body.
The guy I was talking about
, runs a Hypnotherapy and Accupuncture clinic in both Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC. In SC, one of the odd requirements for him to get a licence for the Hypnotherapy, was that he had to be an ordained minister (don't ask me where that came from), so he got a mail-order one, I believe as a Budhist (no offense to anyone one of that faith, that just happened to be what his says on it). Then he claimed to have all the conventional, but non-accredited hypnotherapy credentials, whatever that means.
When I would do this consulting work at his small facility, I could easily hear his conversations with his "patients", and I never heard such a crock of crap in my life. Not to judge anyone, but not convinced many, if any of his patients, even had real verified medical ailments.
When he told met that he didn't believe that cancer existed, I asked him what the doctors were seeing when they looked at cancer cells on a slide. He never came up with an answer for that part.
He was always trying to get me to barter his "services" for my services. I always said, no thanks, was more than happy to be paid in real American currency, lol.
I no longer deal with him at all, it was getting too kooky for me. But to his credit, he had quite a following at both his locations, and was making a great deal of money.
The problem I have with acupuncture, I simply don't believe it would work, I don't accept it mentally for starters. Plus there was that FDA study done a few years back, that showed the patients receiving the placebo version having greater benefit than the patients that go the real thing. What does that tell a person?
Hoping to get a better and more thorough diagnosis through legitimate medical testing in the weeks ahead, so that my treatment plan can be adjusted to what is really going on, and I can be spared becoming even more impaired than I already am. Got a note back from my oncologist, and he feels that we are on the right track right now for more advanced answers.
