Where did the weenie go?

Adding to my original post, forgot to mention, that post open surgery, I had noticeable shortage in the flaccid state, I think the poor little fellow was in a deep coma at the time. But 4 plus years later, even the flaccid length is back to normal, and there was no length issues in the erect mode at any point.

Like all things PC, sure this varies much guy by guy.

Geez. We were chatting with a woman next to us in the radiotherapy waiting room. She had both chemo and radiation for breast cancer in the past, and was there now with another person receiving treatment.

She said, with eyes pleading for sympathy, the worst part of all was that her hair fell out during treatment. Looking at her very nice hair now, I almost couldn't keep quiet. I was thinking, "That's the worst part?!" Let me tell you about upsetting side effects from treatment! But, I only smiled and said, "That must have been difficult...".

My dad had prostate surgery, and was really upset about the loss of length and ED. To this day several years later he's still upset about it, and says so about every time the subject comes up. Apparently he had no idea that was going to happen.

Men don't say much about this disease, and I know that most people have no idea what the treatments are nor what horrific side effects we face.

So far, with almost 12 weeks on ADT (and 17 radiation treatments) I have significant testicular shrinkage, about 1/2 size already, but no penile shrinkage yet. No spontaneous erections at night or morning wood anymore, but the little guy still responds to direct stimulation.

I've had shortage since surgery in both modes of operation. On the upside, without a prostate, while other guys my age and older are grunting. groaning, dribbling and waiting at the urinal, I can pee like a teenager!

I'm still new here, but that "no sex again" comment must have been from a really ignorant person. If I have read this forum right, you will have sex again. There may be different things you will have to do, and it may take healing. You had both nerves spared and you say you have 90% ED. I had both nerves taken, and I may have to use a vacuum pump (or trimix injections) but even 6 weeks out, I tried a vibrator, and, while there was no erection, it did "go off". Your surgery was in March of this year, and I have seen guys here say that the trauma to the nerves can take 2 years to completely heal, and even some said it "just started working one day".

There is a huge range of sexual desire among people. You either got someone trying to be nice and failing miserably, or somebody way out on the end of "no desire". It may be natural for them, but not most of us. I'll use whatever I have to. I'd put a popsicle stick in it if I didn't think I'd get splinters. Having just had surgery, I'm not really interested in implants yet, so I'll wait until the doc says it's ok to try the vacuum device.

My husband had surgery 9 months ago. He lost 25% of his nerves. He is a patient of Dr. Mulhall, who is a renown doctor for ED rehabilitation. Many urologists follow Dr. Mulhall's program, which is just a combination of Viagra and injections. Dr. Mulhall told a friend of my husband's that the injection program needs to be started within 6 months of surgery.

My husband had complete ED after surgery. He started Dr. Mulhall's program of injections 2 months after his surgery. He took Viagra (25mg. a day) from the time that the catheter was removed. In the beginning, trimix did not even work for my husband. He got it to work by using a very high dose of it. Now he uses a much lower dose. My husband worked through a number of problems such as venous leak (went away) and curvature (possibly from injections) which he reversed with a traction device.

My husband started to get nocturnal erections a month ago, and they are becoming more frequent. It is the first sign he has had that his ED may improve. It has done wonders for his mood and confidence.

Based on what I have observed with my husband, I would recommend Dr. Mulhall's program. He wrote a book called "Saving Your Sex Life". You are younger than my husband and did not lose any of your nerves. You may have an excellent chance to overcome ED.

I'm not so much upset about the ED and other SE's as I am from the ignorant people who think prostate surgery is akin to a mole being removed by a dermatologist.

I'm only 4 months and 1 day out from surgery. I've waited this long, whats 2 more years right?
My next appointment with a surgeon will be about injections.
Can't use Viagra 50mg, it causes me eye problems and doc took me off it. Cialis 5mg isn't doing anything that I can tell. Pump works, but only at that moment, I "deflate" immediately after stopping.
Before surgery I was a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 for libido, after surgery I'm still a 15 on that 1 to 10 scale. Pre-surgery was at least 4 times a week. :-\

Logo, I've thought outside the box and in, creativity only goes so far hahaaha
