After DaVinci in February, Husband Doing Well but Urine Flow Diminishing: Worry?

Hi all
My husband had Davinci for prostate cancer last February and has done extremely well, no incontinence. His ursine flow was so much better after surgery but has diminished over the past few weeks . I was just wondering if this was normal or something to be concerned about. We have been traveling all summer and will be back home in about 5 weeks. Thanks for your help in advance.

I agree with sfigato. Not sure the extant of problem. I would have phone consultation with your Uro. Just call the office explain the situation with nurse/receptionist and the reason why you want the phone consult {travel}as well as the medical situation. You can then coordinate the time with them. Your Uro then can say it can wait till you return,based on consult information. Or He could advise you to go to a urologist that is where you happen to be and have it treated. Most insurances will pay for out of state even country and for the consult. If it is blocking due to scarring it willl be reamed as in a roter router tip operation in the office, I believe. Make sure you have experienced Urologist, cause it can be screwed up and make it worse, much worse, think total constriction, major operation. Not to scare , but there it is. I hope for your vacation, it is a minor problem. Do not rationalize the situation to fit the vacation nor go off to the other side of the pendulum and rush home needlessly. Just follow the steps that need to be done calmly. Haste tends to complicate, thoughtful,calm, thinking tends to placate.
