Mandy, welcome to our forum. Todd has been an inspiration to all of us with his contribution and positive attitude. I wish you and Todd the best in your fight against this horrible disease.

Wow, thank you all so much for your kind welcome! As much as Todd has touched my life and my heart, I'm not surprised by all the amazing support and love that he has received from so many. Everyday is truly a gift! I look forward to sharing our journey for many years!!!

Welcome Mandy,

I feel like I know you from my many conversations with Todd and the time we spemt when he was in Atlanta. You are central in his life and he is blessed to have your love and support.

I feel like I already know you as Todd in our many conversations never stops talking about his love for you. Anyone who knows Todd's journey and fight with this beast knows that it his love for you that inspires him to defeat the beast every day. Hopefully someday we will all have the privilege of meeting you in person.

Some of us wives join because our husbands are burying their heads in the sand, but you have a husband who is on the front line, leading others in treatment options. We all know how he feels about you and the impact his disease is having on you. I even expressed to him my concerns about facing an unknown future when you are dealing with cancer, because my first husband died of colon cancer at thirty. It's a really scary time, but one good thing is that you and Todd will be able to be together for the worst of things. So, whatever the future holds, I hope you and Todd live it to the fullest you are able, but still keep in mind that you have to know where all the important papers are, and when to change the oil in the car, or pay the taxes, and who has a copy of the marriage certificate.
We also heard that your job might be uncertain. Todd said you were a wonderful maternity care nurse. Did Kaiser reconsider, or did you find another job? I always tried to tell my daughters that they needed to be able to support themselves because you never know what the future will bring.
I hope you keep posting and perhaps, post on the caregivers thread where other women mostly post. We really don't have much to offer but a listening ear and a concerned heart.

Hello Mandy,

Welcome to HW and our club. I'm kind of new here. I, along with so many others, REALLY enjoy reading Todds blog. Every day, I pray for everyone here on HW that's fighting "PCa". I trust in God and know he's holding my hand and will see all of us through this ordeal.

Back in 1967, my late pastor wrote this song: "God is so good to me, I can't Complain", I do my best, not too.....

You and Todd really love each other, that was very obvious! I love your hubby. He is an inspiration and 1 reason I hang out here from time to time. :) Talk to you soon. Tony, I chuckled when I read your comment. Your wife is obviously a very good judge of character - after all, look who she married!

Mandy, I just want to reiterate again how welcome you are here. Hope you'll visit us again soon (after the Carusos leave, of course). Have a wonderful, wonderful time.

I can see it now ~ Mandy after the fortieth hug pushing me away and saying "Enough already, Why can't you just give us one hug for all the HWers?".
