Left testicle pain after Radical prostatectomy

First of all, welcome! Trust you will find this forum helpful in the days ahead.

You have had major abdominal surgery. It is not unusual at all to have the testicular pain and you may even find some other discomforts in the days, weeks and even months ahead while you are healing up. You may find some relief once the catheter is removed but the pain is more likely just surgical trauma and swelling rather than the catheter. If the towel helps, great. Perhaps alternate some cold and warm compresses. You probably already have pain meds prescribed. If you are concerned on Tuesday when you get the catheter removed, talk to your doctor.

It is possible you will have some urinary incontinence, discomfort, bleeding and blood clots passing. You may find you have stool issues for a bit. Certainly you may experience some erectile issues but your doctor will likely try to get you back in the saddle as soon as possible.

Having had cancer and surgery, every little ache or pain will probably be magnified in your mind. It's normal. Relax and give yourself time to heal. It can take several months.

Welcome aboard Healing Well, glad you joined us.
Outside of swelling causing me to have to sit on a pillow after my DaVinci, I did not have any other testical pains. Go over it with your doctor.
Good luck with your pathology report if you are about to get it Tuesday. I got mine the day the cath was removed.

Hope you are one of the luck ones and become continent quickly. I wasn't and I still am using 2-3 pads a day 13 months out. I used some great advice that I got on HW and put a pad inside a Depends for double protection until things improved then just used the pads in my underwear.

Had surgery on January 16th dr said he had to reconstruct my bladder more than normal therefor I was in the hospital for a week.
I have 2questions
1- I work at a job where I'm on my feet for ten hours a day fifty hours a week. Most people return to work in two to three weeks however most of them had office type jobs, I'm not sure if I'm up to that. What are some of your thoughts...
2- testicles are sore is this normal and for how long
