I have made some strides.....and something has happened below the belt line. well here I am 6 weeks past my last post and some good things have happened. I have not had a drink since 7/19/13. I am seeing a therapist for my depression and it is going well and has been more helpful than I could ever have imagined. I am communicating with my wife who no longer wants a divorce. all she wanted was her husband back....not the guy who hated himself and felt he was no longer a man because of the issues that happened because of PC. Went to my urologist and got trimix and Viagra. Trimix worked within 5 minutes and put a big smile on 2 faces turn Got a new pump the old one was defective!!!!!!!!!!! have been having regular relations now for several weeks and it has done wonders for both of us. So 2.5 years from radical prostect. And 1 year from salvage radiation, function has returned to the point where this morning I awoke with an erection for the first time since the morning of my surgery!! yeah Moral of this story is not to give up and even though the treatments removed the cancer I still let the ****** win because of a poor mental outlook. Don't give up fellas and thanks for the writings and replays..... They were and are helpful. peace

CONGRATULATIONS! It is so often true in life that if we just "hang in there for a little bit longer" that good things will indeed start to happen for us!

Very happy to hear that that has been the case for you! Please do remember that if in the future things seem to start going bad again that they can very well get better again, just like they did this time.

And also please remember that any time you want to talk, rant, share, you name it, there will be people here on this forum who will be more that happy to be there for you!

Good for you, Man. I don't know anything about recovering from RP, but I have had a few bouts of depression in my life, and they sure aren't any d**ned fun. Very glad to hear that you are seeing the sunlight again.

Guys come to the forum. They complain about their life. They feel better for having vented.

Other guys read the complaint. It's easy to find solutions to someone else's problems. They make suggestions. They feel better too.

You seem to have actually taken some of our advice. That always makes us nervous. It's wonderful that it is working so well for you... almost miraculous when you consider where the advice came from.

Wow! Congrats Volv and please keep on keeping on. In general, I've been pretty upbeat about my own condition, but at times I admit to be being a bit down. You have inspired me! Yes! Yes! I wish you all the best of continued good luck!

Volv - congrats on the progress and the great news - good inspiration to those who hear of erectile activity 2 years on from surgery/treatment - you and "mr. Happy" are a shining example - keep practicing - practice makes perfect - glad your wife sorted out her difficulties - wishing you both all the best.

That's GREAT news! Congratulations, Volv! It's important to not give up and give in when things aren't going well. I'm glad you've turned a corner and put smiles on a couple of faces.
