Yesterday I realized it was one year since my diagnosis. I feel I have gotten through everything fairly well and much of that is due to this community. Certainly, this group cares and we have several very knowledgeable posters and I am so thankful for their continued participation. I also think that one of the underrated benefits from this forum is that it helps provide valuable perspective in terms of how I feel about
having cancer and how I’m battling it.
I’m happy with my treatment choice of HDR brachy, IMRT and HT. Other than the ongoing (and ghastly) HT side effects, I feel pretty much as I always have. I am also so incredibly thankful that I have Dr Lam as my oncologist and I’m not sure if I would have hooked up with him if not for the recommendations of this group.
I have finally updated my signature for the first time since finishing IMRT in March. I was reluctant to list my PSA scores since they have the benefit of HT, but I figure that might still be beneficial for others. I'm not sure how significant they are at this stage, but just the same I'm glad they're very low.
Again, my thanks to those of you who have helped me on my journey. You’ve been great and I do hope I can pay it forward!

good going Michael. your PSA scores are important because they show you have responded well to the HT. one-year is definitely a milestone. here's to many more!

Congrats!
You've progressed in a great way in a year!
I've often wondered what Mr. WW's PSA would be if he was not on HT, but pulling low numbers at least lets us know the HT is still working.

Low numbers is good!
Funny how we will alway remember the date we were diagnosed and how that date was so insignificant before then.
Celebrate your anniversary
