GFMPH NY 2013 -- Oh boy! I made it!

Sherry and I are set up at the next stop in our travels. A really nice little.campground in Colchester VT just outside Burlington. We got here today about 10:30am and have just been sitting around. We are plum tuckered out from the fabulous time of sharing at the GFMPH weekend.

Mr and Mrs WG certainly outdid themselves this year. What a great event. We cannot thank them and all of the folks enough that chipped in their efforts to make our wedding truly something special. While we knew it would not be your normal wedding, more than one person was heard to say it was the best and most fun one they had ever been to.

Thank you so much, our friends, for making it truly memorable.

Sherry and I can hardly wait until March to see our old friends and meet some new ones when we host the next GFMPH. The good times begin about the 20th of March, so make your plans to attend.

Mikey we were so disappointed that you were not able to make the gathering. I know you were sorry to miss it as well. Know that we though about you.

Hey Jeff and all the other great people at GFMPH NY I missed,

You know I was trying to make it on Saturday. By the time my work stuff got done later than I expected, I was done. Totally baked and tired. The RV was gassed, clean and ready in the driveway. Come to think of it, it usually is...

Considering all the work and life stuff, I had the opportunity at that moment to step back and reflect. I have a choice, now. And, I kinda made it...or maybe in hindsight, it was made for me.

I've pulled the plug on my biz and will keep some parts and do it from home/where-ever on a semi-retired basis. Tough decision but, I believe a good one...and the right one. The next 3-4 months will be spent completing orders and clearing out 30 years of stuff and getting ready for the next 30;)

I believe it will work out and I will be able to get some real use out of my RV...and more importantly, spend more time with those who are the most special in my life.

I'll keep you posted on what's next. I think wintering in St. Pete's/Clearwater is one item near the top of the list for early next year.

I'm disappointed I didn't make it, too...Jeff.

What a bittersweet day this is...
Mr. WW and I were the last chicks flying out. We got home at midnight last night.

We began our journey on September 18th with Cajun Jeff, and his sweetheart of a wife, Pat, along with Mr. & Mrs. Bayou Jackal.
We later met up with Sonny and his bride to be, Sherry, in Stone Mountain Georgia and moved over into their rolling home. What gracious hosts they are!

Meeting up with Mr. & Mrs. Harold C along the way, was truly a bonus!

Being among the first to descend upon Mr. & Mrs. Worried Guy's lawn, was quite the experience!
Mr. & Mrs. WG are truly great people! The opening up of their home (and lawn) was quite generous.
The only challenge was trying to find something that Worried Guy did not have TWO of. I did try hard to beat this challenge, all to no avail.

It was great meeting new people that we had not yet met. Seriously, all of these folks are top notch!

Sephie and Mrs. LupronJim quickly seemed to fit in perfectly as my additional partners in crime. Still trying to figure out who is Thelma and who is Louise!

Was honored to attend Sonny and Sherry's wedding. Hearing Jazzman and Bayou Jackal perform "The Lord's Prayer" was quite moving.

From apple shooters to spraying skunks... What a week of additional entertainment!

A huge THANK YOU to Mr. & Mrs. Worried Guy for hosting this event. Barb, I love you and the calm way you handle your hands full with WG. You should get some kind of award for that! Seriously, like a national award or medal... something!

Another huge thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Cajun Jeff and Sonny and Sherry for letting us roll with you guys and gals.

And thank you Water Guy for allowing us to use your tent from last year. The upgrade was awesome.

And a gigantic THANK YOU to all who attended. ALL of you have made our life more blessed in one way or another.

That was all the "sweet" stuff. The "bitter" part is looking at 13 days worth of laundry that is staring at me. :)

Can't wait until March!

Barb said it helps that her real job is being a nursery school teacher for 3 year olds.

But a class size of 16 guys with PCa is a bit of a challenge, even for someone used to dealing with our type of continuous childishness.

I gave up on trying to beat Sonny's record. Talked to him today as we crossed into FL and got the free OJ at the welcome center, the second most important reason for the stop.

By time Sonny & Sherry get back to Florida they will have logged about 3500 miles.

Mine was just shy of 3000 @ 2992, and I know Nolavette detour into Maine will get him well over 3K too, and I suspect Cajun Jeff cleared that hurdle too.

NolaVette & I are finally home from our whirlwind trip to the Northeast!     This was my first GFMPH gathering (Steve's third).   I was overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and camaraderie.   I feel a bond to you all that I couldn't have imagined a week ago.   Thank you for welcoming me into the group.   Here is my summary of the weekend:   Groom & his lovely bride....Stunning! Food & drink (scotch).....Splendid! Music, singing & storytelling.....Superb! Plenty of laughter.....Supremely inspiring! Host & hostess.....Spectacular!   Lastly, my condolences to Bronson and family.   You are in my prayers.   Sue (very tall, very short hair)
