I just started on TriMix and the local compounding pharmacy is charging $159 for 4ml.  I am using .4 cc so that is 10 doses or $16 per dose. 

Are  there any lower costs ways to get TRIMIX the local pharmacy?

I pay about $135.00 but only use 1cc at a time.

Odds are, you won't be able to get the cost of the stuff down too much.

Holy smokes that is high, what part of the US do you live in ?

Mine is in CT and charges me $64 includes 5ml Trimix, 2 ice packs AND overnight shipping

.4 cc's thats is a lot of Trimix, you very likely can cut that down a lot by using the well documented posts that show how to constrict while you inject

By the way, I think the syringe is capble of 1cc (100 units) and I am using 40 units or 0.40cc. I do use the pump a bit and then slide on a ring before injecting.. is that what you mean by constrict?

Then I guess I use 10 units....Have you tried a smaller amount?

Syringes can also be in 1/2 cc ( 50 unit) capacity

grok1955, here's a link to a post that lists some pharmacies for compounding.  If you are considering online and mail ordering, Franck's out of Florida is one used by most guys who have to mail order.  Trimix there was $94 for 5ml, shipped overnight in ice packs.  Bimix is around $50 for 5ml.

I think I paid $125 with insurance for 10ml. 3 units works well for me. 5 units works better for maximum firmness. Tried all the pills with no luck. Was very frustrated until my urologest gave me mitrix. Lost a girlfriend over my Ed issue.

We paid $110 for 6ml in 3 vials. We get about 35 total doses for the 6ml.

Peter is right in that the cocktail makes a difference in the cost.  Here is Dave's cocktail and the usual prescribed strength that I found on the Trimix site.

  Usual prescribed strength Dave
C-Papaverine 18 - 25mg 18 mg
Phentolamine 1  - 2mg 1 mg
Prostaglandin E1   10 - 25mcg 8.5 mcg
bottle size   2ml

Trimix comes in a variety of strengths. Before you guys compare the number of units you use you need to talk about how much of the drugs is dissolved in each ml. The more concentrated mixes cost a bit more per vial but a vial lasts longer because you need less (because it is more concentrated). You might ask your compounding pharmacy about "super" trimix. It costs me about half-again as much but I get three times as many jabs so using it reduces my cost per jab by half.

Can someone explain these mixtures to me. Very confusing. My vial says

7.5mcg/30mg/4mg but doesn't tell what each is. The container says to inject 10 units, but doctor gave verbable of 3 units. Is 10 units 1cc? Wish I had knew the metric system.

jwalk: the bottle should have the names above the numbers, probably separated by slashes as well.

Here is my guess:
Prostateglandin comes in mcg: so yours is probably 7.5mcg

Cpap starts at usually 18mg so yours is probably the 30mgs

Phentolimine is usually the lower mg so yours is probably 4mg

1cc equals 1ml
SI is International System of units
The US uses the Imperial System
cc is cubic centimeter
A metric unit of volume equal to one hundredth of a liter
1 ounce = 29.574 ml
1cc -= .001 liter

Grok, I get 5ml vial of double strength Trimix for $110 and I use .25ml per injection from my local compounding pharmacy here in Birmingham. The same vial of single strength is $75

10 units is .1 cc and also .1 ml. There are 100 insulin 'units' in 1ml. Since we use insulin syringes we usually talk about the volume injected in units. But, as I said above. How much of the drugs is in a 'unit' depends on the concentration (which varies).
