Still a Zero with postive margins

Got the results back today, still in the Zero Club even thought I had positive margins post-op. Oh what a relief it is! No more PSA anxiety for a few more months.

Good luck to all the others being tested this month.

Since I don't drink anymore, anybody want an ice cream sundae?

Bill, congratulations, my friend.

Yeah, the positive margin thing is like having a sword hanging over your head. For some men, like you so far, it's not causing you any problems. For others, like me, it meant almost instant recurrence. I hope and pray that margin never comes back to haunt you, and that you get many years in the zero club. I was ever only in it for 3 months, lol. That's it. And no chance of getting back into it.

So enjoy. I will wave to you when our ship passes by where you live, or you can light a huge bon fire that I can see from sea.

Thanks guys, it is like a reprieve every time I get an undetectable with these positive margins. With every Zero, I just hope that my surgeon got it all.

I don't think I will see you as your ship passes by. You will be making a turn "hard to port" to head to the Bahamas. They are just off our coast, Freeport is almost parrell to my home.
Don't forget the sun screen and I hope you gain 10 lbs.! yeah

BTW, I think it's good to get the message out that positive margins don't constitute a one-way ticket to radiation treatment. I've been undetectable since surgery too -- despite the positive margins. My doc isn't concerned about them, so I guess I won't be either.

It's a crazy disease. You just can't always predict who will do well and who won't, so you might as well be optimistic.

Thanks for the positive post everyone. Ice cream is GFMPH, alcohol, not so much.
So far so good. I can't live in fear. One PSA test after another, like climbing stairs!
