Last (fingers crossed) Lupron shot is done! 4 weeks of ADT left!

I am getting closer and closer to the end of 3 years of ADT. I had my last Lupron shot this morning (the 28 day version)! I am sure hoping that once my T levels start to return the cancer stays in remission. None the less, I am pretty pumped about this. I am planning for a fun ride on the T train.

I've been followig ya and it's been a long ride. Being off the Lupron, it's all up hill now. Here's hoping the beast is long gone. And NEVER to return.

Great news SC.

I was only given an initial 24 month sentence and so far have only been on it for 7 months.

So blaze than T-train for me and I'll catch up with you in a year and a half.

..Way to go!! Time goes bye.. Good Luck and may the beast be slain.. I'm on the six month adjunctive therapy, I hope the doctors stick to the plan cause it is not fun. Except for my bald spot sprouting hair again. My 8 y/o daughter commented on it this week..

I had my last three month Eligard shot in August.   That will complete three years on triple HT. 

I understand the longer you are on this junk the longer ot takes to get back to normal.   I figure I will again have hair on my back in 2017....or so.

Appleseed, I grew my hair back and am now parting it again. Everyone loves it. I suppose that is one benefit of ADT.

JNF, I lost all my chest hair (and I used to have a lot of it.) I suppose it is trendy now to have a hairless chest to show off the pecs. I still want my chest hair back.

Congratulations!! May you have a hairy chest etcetera forever. Please keep us informed! My last 6 month shot is scheduled for 21 October. By my count that's 3 years and 6 months--That's what I get with an RO that can't count..

SC, I was the same.   Lot of chest hair, leg hair and unfortunately too much on the back.   Since HT I look like I have been full body shaving or waxing for the last three years.   Last week I had knee surgery.  When the nurse started to shave the knee, she said never mind it was already done!

Addendum: I'm happy to say that I beat you and that I'm done--my RO can count after all so no shot! After 3 years we actually talked about things which he wouldn't commit to before. My initial prognosis of a 60% chance of recurrence is now down to 40% within 5 years of starting therapy which is acceptable to me. He warned me that my psa would go up without the lupron and he wouldn't call it a recurrence until it hit 2. I informed him that we would take action before that with lupron again and casodex. He is a big believer in cryosurgery but I told him that at my age I'm done.
Anyway, I am so happy to be off this s--t. I wish you hair on your back and elsewhere!
