Ive shaven mine and grown it out so many times it wouldn't be noticeable....Im thinking maybe this time I'll shave half of it off.

Was thinking of shaving mine off anyway, so that I could start a winter goatee that would look even. Will have to remember November 1.

The start of Movember is now just 15 days away…and counting.   Movember is catching on around the globe.   The movement was started 10 years ago in Australia to stimulate conversations about men’s health.   While the average age of men with a new PC diagnosis (in the US) is 67, the average age of Movember participants last year in Australia was 31!   A key focus of conversations amongst the younger generation of men is prevention , and the fact that lifestyle choices strongly influence quality of life and risk factors which help men avoid issues like prostate cancer.   Amongst older men, more of the conversation shifts toward spreading awareness/education about PC – in particular, about how PC is really three very different diseases :   the low-risk cases (which are by far the most common) for which no immediate treatment is recommended, the less frequently occurring intermediate-risk cases which are the current “grey zone” for which treatment may or may not be necessary, and the infrequent cases of high-risk disease for which aggressive treatments available today have improved PC-specific mortality tremendously for the last generation.     Do you want to "do your part?" Do you want to “give back” the knowledge and wisdom you’ve picked up here at HW as a experienced “PC vet?”   Do you want to “pay it forward?”   Then grow a ‘stash (or shave yours off and re-grow it) starting November 1st, and  become a conversation starter …     Stay tuned to this thread…more information and a “HW Mo Bros Challenge” is coming…        

Can't do that. It would make people question why, and in my job environment, if the wrong people discovered my situation, I would be terminated within days, if not hours.

10-days and counting down ‘til the month of Movember starts…   It appears to me like all the Mo Bros here at HW are getting their thoughts together, getting their emotions energized, and getting their minds ready for supporting Movember .   Being a Mo Bro will put you on the spot – people will ask you, “What’s up with the ‘stash, bro?” You will become a walking, talking billboard to raise awareness for men’s health. Then, it’s your time to shine!   Show your support.   Speak out for men’s health.   Be a Mo Bro !   What are you going to say?   That’s completely up to you .   It’ll probably depend on who asks you.   We all won’t say the same thing.   Say what’s in your heart.   Say what’s in your head.   Just say something about men’s health!   Do something for prostate cancer awareness!   Be a Mo Bro !     So what’s the “ 2013 HW Mo Bros Challenge ?” Here’s your chance to do something good for prostate cancer awareness , and “stick it” to Casey at the same time!   For every HW Mo Bro participant, Casey will donate $20 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) at the beginning of December, up to $500…but you have to be an “official” HW Mo Bro to be counted! Hate to be the spoiler, but you are breaking two forum rules:

1) You are backhandedly soliciting donations for an entity other than Healing Well
2) You are asking for personal information that is not protected by having to log in to the forum (photos paired with HW ids)

I suspect there is some way for you to revise this to keep the value without breaking a rule.

I didn't say this (but I showed this in my own example):  your pic only needs to show between nose and chin, which will keep you unidentifyable.

You can step up and match my donation though, Bro...whether you do or don't want to be a HW Mo Bro

I hope Casey's plan gets approved, though I'm personally hesitant about growing a moustache when I know I'll be paying a rare visit to 3 of our grandkids in Anchorage toward the end of the month. I'm sort of afraid that a mustachioed PawPaw might freak them out.

Caey, the easy way out is to ask Peter W. if he approves.

I'll take Casey's offer. Have not been without a mustache since Elmo Zumwalt allowed sailors to have a stache.

I will shave it and regrow it inNovember. If it comes out any whiter, I may have to put some coloring in it so it shows on pic.
