I am officially in major countdown mode now. I have 15 more treatments to reach the finish line.

So far my only side effect is radiation fatigue. Everyday my energy level is a little less. With Saturdays being the worse.

Yesterday was very fatigues but I'm thinking perhaps some of it was having two treatments within 16 hours of each other. They had a scheduled maintenance window and software upgrade to the Radiation Device which started Friday at noon, through all Day Saturday and if needed into Sunday. So I was rescheduled for a early morning Friday treatment.

I'm keeping the finish line in sight.

lewvino glad to hear it is almost over. Fatigue huh? Wonder if it is from the radiation or from the cancer diagnosis. I had brachy so had radiation and have felt fatigue but then I wondered if I was just wiped out from being on the diagnosis - pick a treatment - treat and pray for the best roller coaster.

Glad you are that close. The radiation fatigue is very real stuff. This is one reason why they only do treatments Monday through Friday, most people would not be able to endure 35-40 continuous treatments. The weekends are meant to rest up from what is being done during the weekdays. So please, hope you mostly just chill out on the weekends and rest up.

Lewvino, glad to get the update and really glad the finish line is in sight. Keep us posted and we hope the fatigue doesn't get any worse.

Hang in there, you are doing great. You're about at the point in your treatment where I began having some minor urinary urgency -- especially for a minuet or so when first standing up. But it was manageable and went back to normal within a couple of weeks after the end of treatments. We all react differently, so you may not experience the same thing, but if you do, you can trust that it is a temporary annoyance that will soon return to normal. Best of luck with the rest of your treatments.

No, I live 2.5 hrs from Nashville. We have a radiation clinic in the town that I live in so getting my zaps local.

So far so good. My last treatment will be this coming Friday.

Side effects have been minimal so far.

It is great that the side effects are miminal so far
I gathered that you have just a couple more days
to go.

During your RT are you also taking some adjuvant HT?
