Thanks, folks. I just get real down at this time. Very resentful at having to continually go through this crap, knowing full well that HT will fail, and now also the high probability of elevated liver enzymes. The latter may not matter much. I would have to stop the Casodex, but hopefully the Lupron will continue to do the heavy lifting.

I also have a phone consultation with Dr. Lam tomorrow night. Most likely another Lupron shot this week or next.

Im at the point where It doesn't even bother me anymore...but then again I get PSA and full bloodwork every 2 weeks now...1 set for Xofigo and 1 set for Zytiga....Id have way too much worrying to do every 2 weeks...LOL

Mel, you're in our (mine and John's) thoughts...fingers and toes crossed that you'll hear good news today.

Thanks again for your support. I don't know if it is the HT or what, but this time I was really down/depressed/fearful (an emotion that we often have but don't admit with this disease). I think it was the fact that now I had to worry about the liver enzymes and the PSA. On the positive side, at least it didn't get to me until last night!

So, I got the results an hour ago.

FANTASTIC NEWS.

The liver enzymes are up but still well within the normal range (just about at the midpoint of normal) and, even better, my PSA is now down from 0.03 to 0.02 (it was 17.55 in March just before starting HT).

So, I am thrilled, mostly because it means I will probably get at least a 3-month reprive before going through these d&^% tests again.

I have that phone consultation in 2 1/2 hours. I know we will be discussing when (probably not IF) to go intermittant. Do I do a 1 or 3 or 4  month shot. I am scheduled for my 4-month shot on Thursday, but Dr. Lam said something at my last meeting with him (3 months ago) about only needing to do a 1-month shot if these test results are good.

In fact, that might be food for thought and worthy of its own thread.
