Hot flashes & ADT

Just finished a 1 year round of Lupron this past July and am still having hot flashes, although they seem to be slowly subsiding in intensity. Is this common? During the year I did not use the VED, no motivation, and when I've tried to go back to it my scrotum keeps getting in the way and it becomes uncomfortable. Starting to have nocturnal erections but the shock is how much size I've lost. I'd guess I've lost 40%, is this normal? Is it atrophy and what can I do?

Have you had your T checked recently to verify recovery? I'm still on HT, but didn't start getting hot flashes until T dropped below 50. Seems like they wouldn't stop until above some value like that. Don't know for sure, though.

Frizzle, I like 142 have heard they can last for up to a year. I stopped ADT in June and had similar hot flashes through October when i resumed HRT on a three month experiment that my UO, RO and MO are letting me try.

So I am sorry that hot flashes will continue. I also found my sack was so atrophied and it has taken a full month on HRT to get the little sucker to drop. I am told size shrinks without use. This cancer really sucks. Goodluck

It's truly encouraging to know I am not alone! The loss of libido hasn't bothered me but now that it's starting to return... Anyway, you're right, it's a small price to pay and my wife lost her libido years ago so in many ways this is easier to accept and deal with than trying to wrestle her into some interest in sex again. I had a 400 mg injection of Depo Provera and it has all but eliminated the hot flushes and night sweats.
