We had a wonderful visit from Goodlife and his wonderful wife today.
To keep her identity anonymous, I thought of calling her Mrs. Goodlife - but that was too boring - so , after the fact, I think "Thegoodwife" would be perfect.
I have this amazing King puppet from Berlin ( his copy is in the Berlin Museum - puppetry division) from the 1930's and his wife who is called "thegoodwife"...
...I do ramble on....
Goodlife and Thegoodwife drove up - visiting Mickey1955 on the way - and stayed in a B&B in Markham ( just outside of Toronto) and then visited us.
They even brought their very well behaved little chihuahua-jack russell dog, Chiquita- who had a grand time running up the 3 flights of stairs and discovering all sorts of Canadian sniffs - & not knowing what to make out of Leo the lion vent puppet.

Thank you for the commissioned painting and the wonderful visit - it was certainly GFMPH !!

Sounds like a great mini GFMPH meet, I have had several over the years, and they have all been good.
Glad it went so well.

But I won't lie, that sounds like one scary puppet to me, I would have to have you keep it under lock and key if I were visiting you, lol.

LOL, you may be right, but wary of inanimate objects that can move, strings or no strings. I was the kid that was scared of the Planters Peanut Man (still am), and the Jolly Green Giant and the Spic and Span Man. We all have our phobias, lol.

So wonderful to meet in real life with our brothers here, isn't it?

Great time was had by all. Thanks so much Bronson and Steve for a tour of the museum. From pottery to paintings, puppets to Fred Flinstone, and a bunch of stuff in between, it was a memorable visit.

It was Mikey1955 who we stopped to see. Had a great dinner with them.

Wish we all could have gotten together at the same time. Been a bit busy for us. Had a wonderful time seeing the Goodlife's and having dinner...just the kinda break we needed!

So you go further North while here in Florida we are swamped with Canadians looking for warmer weather.

Who am I to comment? I just got back from 2 weeks in Chicago and have the severe cold and cough to prove it. Our daughter was smart enough or we were not so smart to let her do the handing out of candy on Halloween while we took the grand kids trick or treating in the rain and cold, and then a hayride that weekend..

Was so glad to see the temperature was 79 degrees as we crossed back into Florida from Georgia.

Even more glad you were able to visit our brothers to the North.
