Two weeks post op

Am 2 week post op Dr is ****** no response to request for sexual rehab, no pathology results. Man you spend months researching options finding the "right" dr. When the cutting ends where the heck is he. Frustrated but moving forward.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you need to be here but glad you found us.

Your surgeon is probably waiting for the post-op pathology report to come back and will go over that and everything else when it does. As with most everything else about prostate cancer that leaves you waiting and worried. It's maddening but not unusual.

In the meanwhile, I can recommend a book for you to read if you haven't already. John Mulhall's "Saving Your Sex Life" is a really good book about sexual rehab for men. It's a bit hard to find in bookstores but Amazon has it and the Kindle version is only eight bucks. You will want to hit the ground running on your penile rehab once your prodigal surgeon surfaces and gives you the go ahead. Mulhall's book can help you push the process.

Tell us a bit more about yourself and your diagnosis -- things like age, Gleason score, where you had the operation, stuff like that. That way people who have had similar experiences can give you pointers on what to do next.

First I probably am a bit hard on my Doc but when you get a reply of I'll call this afternoon and no call comes it is a bit of an issue.

You should have recd a call by now on pathology. But you have good bx stats so hopefully you'll be in good shape. Didn't doc give you instructions re ED control, catheter care and future communications?

I saw the Doc 8 days post op to get the tube out. I was probably so elated to have that out I forgot to bring up Ed plan. At 12 days sent him a text he replied but no call. I will definitely be a squeeky wheel Monday. Will also call my urologist (same practice) and discuss with him. Next appointment is at 5 weeks for PSA.

Anyone have any experience with acupuncture for ED or and imcontinence. Mine is not so bad 1 pad per day leak only when standing up. As an aside Friday had my first couple drinks at happy hour with friends. I won't repeat very soon as my bladder control seemed to really be impacted by alcohol.

Welcome to HW. You should have received the report by now. I'd be mad at my doc over that too.

Hello all we'll my doc is now back on my good list. Seems the hospital was at fault and my path came back on Wednesday all good news margins clean no sign of escape a all. Also started pee rehab. 15mgs Cialis every 3 days with some Viagra mixed in on the off Cialis days. Happy to report some stirring of the little guy, nothing to celebrate just yet but hopeful. Thanks for all comments and support first postoperative PSA due 12/13 looking forward to it. I am a 1 pad a day guy and feeling stronger each day !
