My wife and I had an opportunity to meet with Cajun Jeff and his wife. They were immediately like old friends...so cordial. Jeff and I have been chatting for a long while. Met on FrankTalk.org quite awhile ago.
Looking forward to staying in touch in the future.

Welcome Farfinkl1, Glad to see you have posted. Guys he is a PCa guy like the rest of us. At this time he is doing very well like many of us. He has been aware of the GFMPH gathering for quite a while. At our meeting we talked about
the Rochester gathering and how great the meetings have been.
We had a wonderful meeting with them and shared a glass or two of vino.
Guys I advised him to post on here and that you would welcome him to the group.

Please do feel warmly welcomed! This forum is simply one of the best, if not the very best, on the web for discussing and learning about
prostate cancer, from individuals and their loved ones who have been living with and dealing with this disease.
Whatever good things Cajun Jeff has already told you about
this forum are true. It is a wonderful place to come to learn about
, discuss, and commiserate with others about
prostate cancer, while at the same time it provides the opportunity to relate to others who, as I said, have been living with it, and to learn from and benefit from their experiences.
You might like to choose and read some of the already posted threads on the index screen to get a feel for the kinds of discussions that go on here daily, and you might also want to look at some of the prostate cancer resources available in the topmost threads that appear on that index screen.
Others will weigh in here soon to welcome you, and mention other benefits that there are in coming to this forum, but for now, welcome, and do feel free to ask any questions.

Let me add my welcome.
I had erroneously assumed you were part of the large PCa contingent in New Orleans/Baton Rouge area but saw in your profile Woodbridge VA.
Any friends of Cajun Jeff and momma Pat are friends of Karen and me.
Hope you are able to join us at future GFMPH meetings.

Welcome, also.
Have had the pleasure of having Cajun Jeff and his love wife in our home here in SC several years ago. A great and caring couple for sure. Consider yourself fortunate.

barfinkl1 I'll also welcome you to our little club. IMHO the absolute BEST forum you'll find in terms of support, education, experience and so forth. HW was (is) truly a life saver/changer for me. I hope you'll join in and add your experience to the board here for the benefit of others - especially the newbies that really, really need us.

I am embarrassed because I haven't replied to you all before now. I want to thank you for your warm welcome…you are a great bunch of guys from what I see here and what Jeff has told me. I hope I'll be able to join you in FL the next gathering. I'll post my stats next time as it's Thanksgiving and I need to go dig out some of the specifics. I finished my five years since my surgery last April and have remained clear. Have a lot to be thankful for. I had a penile prosthesis implanted in Nov, 2011. I'm having a problem with sensitivity, but the implant works fine otherwise. My sensitivity issues are related to my diabetes II. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet from that and take Cymbalta which deals with the pain very well, BUT also affects my penis. Thanks again to you all and especially to Cajun Jeff for referring me here.
Age - 65 now, 59 at time of surgery

Barfinkl1,
Welcome to the forum. Your introduction here was with two of our very finest ambassadors. Mr. and Mrs. Cajun Jeff are beautiful people.
It's always good to see somebody who's in good health. It seems like most of us have some issue or another related to this. Those of us in good general health have that to be thankful for. Wishing you continued good health on this Thanksgiving day.

Hello and welcome to our happy little gang here at HW PC
I have met Jeff and his wife, in person, when they visited me here in SC a few years back. They are both wonderful people. Glad you had the same chance.
Hope to learn more about
you and your PC journey.
David
