Winter here, checking-in.
I just finished my second year of HT and I am glad to report that I am < 0.03 since June 2012. Believe me, I feel very fortunate and lucky - things could of been and may still turn south at anytime for me. As you all know very well, we take what we can get, and I feel very fortunate.
Since I have not checked in for quite some time, I will spin a small yarn:
Receiving the news of a PSA of 49, high risk, and T3 staging from a 3T endo MRI was a bit of a shock 2 years ago. I made it through 81 g of radiation therapy and ongoing HT. I felt lucky to participate in a clinical trial using neo-adjuctive abiraterone.
So now, 2 years in, my PSA is undetectable and I have not suffered any severe side-effects except the usual HT symptoms. I have only one year of HT left. Yes, just a tiny little year.
I say this with all sincerity - I wish you all the very best!

Great to hear, Winter. We have a very similar starting point (my PSA was lower, but had G9 5+4), and to say it was a shock is quite an understatement. I understand too the lingering undercurrent of concern that things could go south any time.
Thanks so much for posting your good news. It's very encouraging to those of us who are a ways behind you on the same road!!
All the best to you!

Winter,
I had a similar dx a year earlier. I have completed my three years of triple HT and am looking forward to a return to normalcy. Last week's blood draw resulted in another <.10. You are doing great and the next year of HT will fly by quickly. I have found that my side effects became duller as time went by and aren't as bad as when they started.
Thanks for the great report, it surely encourages others.

What a great attitude.
And, by the way, today just happens to be the Winter Solstice, so your post is especially appropriate.
Enjoy the shortest day of the year. Days get longer from now on.
