How soon can I and get a erection after prostatectomy? I tried to get going a day after catheter removal and swear I felt nausea afterwards. Doc says it's ok to try.but I am concerned about
messing something up especially the new bladder urethra connection. Common sense tells me to wait but I have read the sooner you start the better the overall results will be. Not sure what to do.

You're not going to hurt yourself, but I'm really impressed that you're far enough along so soon. For me it was like shooting pool with a rope even with meds until about
the 3rd month. It took me about
a year to make it completely back with no meds. Use it or lose it!!

I was told to not even look at "it" for 4 weeks after surgery. I started on ED meds 72 hours after the catheter was removed then used a VED pump to start blood flowing at the 4 weeks mark to try to get an erection daily.

Started to have what we called "practice sex" 2 months after surgery, with the aid of VED and cock rings. You should have been prescribed daily or every other day ED meds and daily therapy with the VED. Regards Inkhorn

There's no good answer to that since everyone is a little different and it depends a lot on what the surgeon had to do inside you and if you had nerve sparing, and a ton of other little factors.
I've heard of guys getting an erection a few weeks after surgery, some after a year or two and some never.
Personally, I'd let your body heal for a month or two before experimenting. Then see what comes up and if you need to get into the meds and other things.

I was told to wait 21 days before an orgasm.

Is it better to continue trying to have normal sexual relations or to just hold off for long periods in between? I've found that sometimes it goes better than others. I'm able to wet rope it pretty good but it's nowhere near like it used to be. Just wondering if the wet rope is a good idea or if I should wait until I have a little harder licorice?
