PC inspired Songlist - Help needed NEW FINAL RESULTS ON PAGE 4

I am planning on attending the GFMPH Florida in March and I have been working on a playlist for my IPOD. I am driving up from So. Florida and thought it was time to make a PC inspired playlist to listen to on the drive.

I could use some suggestions from everyone. Songs about death, living, fighting or anything else meaningful to us. We have discussed this here before but I couldn't find much using the search tool. Songs we like that say a lot about what we are going through. It can just be a phrase we like or the entire message in the song. Yes, I already have "Live Like You are Dying" by Tim McGraw.

F8 you are in the lead if this was a contest. I didn't quite get the point of your Talking Heads song "Life during wartime" until the end of the song. " the burning keeps me alive" phrase says it all.

Gunfighter, I do have "Still in Saigon" by Charlie Daniels on my list. Although I was lucky enough to avoid being drafted in 1970, I will salute those who had to serve.

Wonderful idea for a thread. Music is a language of emotion, and the PCa journey is nothing if not emotional!

All of these songs came to me one by one after I was diagnosed, in treatment, and finally in the limbo after treatment. These provoked very deep and powerful emotional reactions, frequently requiring a tissue. I started writing them down, and finally made a CD for my car with all of them. I still listen to these regularly.

They're pretty much all faith based, and provide me great comfort.

That is what is great about music, it is open to interpretation .

Garth Brook's song, The Dance, sounds like a typical c&w love song but he said it is about people who died before us like JFK, RFK, MLK etc.

BTW, the song, "Sometimes a song" by Dan Fogelberg was written for his wife but after he died of PCa, his wife is donating all funds made by it's sales to fighting PCa.

i'm not fan of the artist but was always intrigued by the lyrics of this song. When I got sick i listened to it a lot before I went back my normal usual stuff. Definitely struck a chord with me those days.

listening to all suggestions here because I'm constantly looking for new songs for my playlists. Can run or workout without music and have grown tired of most songs in my iTunes library.
