I have an AUS installed on March 6, 2014, was discharge the following day without the cath. During the last 6 weeks I suffered all the pains that you are going through and after the AUS activation three days ago I am still having pain from all 3 incisions especially the bottom one. This may help you relieve discomfort while sitting down, try using a donut cushion seat. Also, if you have some left over Depend pads or diapers, just trim it around the edges so it will not brush against your delicate area which causes more pain and discomfort. I think with all the pain and discomfort I've went through since the surgery, I can say now that the AUS really works and I've been totally dry since after the AUS activation. Hang in there and you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel pretty soon. Good luck! ....... Jhuno

May I ask a couple of questions? How much were you leaking before you got the AMS800? Did you consider the sling?
Was a sling even possible? We are always interested in the decision process as it helps the next guy.

you must have used priceline to negotiate. You got three incisions, I just got two, ended up getting my money's worth of tissue trauma in the end by getting the IPP done at the same time. Oddly my incisions were not painful and were healed up before my activation. And further oddly, my AUS made my urethra sting awhile after starting each my day, doctor was puzzled. Finally started a break-in procedure of activating each day till it hurt, then deactivating till the next day, in a couple of weeks I could stay activated all day and night. I still have that stinging occasionally after being on my feet a while and moving or twisting a certain way which I cannot duplicate. The pain you mention sounds like the skin on penis felt , very sensitive to brushing against clothing and such.

I couldn't help but notice that your first post offered support and encouragement to one of the brothers. Is this a cool place or what?

Thanks! I'm still feeling some pain maybe due to constant pressing of the AUS button to pump the pee out. I will keep you guys inform of my progress. ..... Jhuno
