I have been on Lupron (6-month injections) for about
3-years now. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy for the past 2+ years has made it difficult to separate the SE's of the HT from the chemo.
The side effects I believe have been due to the HT were the hot flashes, emotional highs and the drain of energy - although the reduced energy is also due to the chemo and prednisone.
The positive however is that the hot flashes have reduced to almost nothing - and they are now fairly rare. I did start taking the generic of Lexapro last Fall - and that has helped the previous highly fluctuating emotions that also can come from the HT.
I have started back on an old Pulmonary excercise class 3x per week, and in just 3-weeks, some stability has returned already to my weakened quads of the past 6-months or so. Excercise is highly recommended - especially for those who have been on HT for a considerable time.
Peace and wellness
