I will add you to the seemingly endless list of brothers of the Balloon ecstatic with Proton therapy. Have yet to hear of any who trash talk that treatment.
Congrats.

Anxious,
Great progression to a cure. According to the The American Society of Radiation Oncologists (ASTRO) you are looking for a low point (nadir) of .20 or lower, so you are almost there. If you get and stay there you are hopefully in for a cure. It also looks like you are past the time for the possible "PSA bounce" so less anxiety. Great to see the success

Thanks to all. I did have a slight bounce about
a year ago. The value went from 1.1 to 1.3 or something like that. I was told that might happen but still was a little "anxious". There are a few discouraging words about
Proton Therapy. Most have to do with cost and the comparison with IMRT. Those that do the research come to the conclusion that there may be some advantages with Proton Therapy. I was very fortunate to have insurance that agreed to help and an employer that offered enough sickleave that I was allowed to be away for 6 weeks. The stars were properly aligned for me. If anyone is curious about
Proton Therapy you can email me. I will call or you can call me. Thanks for the positive comments. Best, Ross
