Most surgeries to remove the prostate today are performed using a robotic machine guided by a surgeon. The machine is called a Da Vinci. It magnifies the area and it shows up on a console in Hi Definition giving the surgeon a much better view of the prostate area. It also corrects any sudden bump by the surgeon. Healing time is much quicker, usually the patient comes home the next day, and very little blood loss.
