Dr. Turner's office just called and they have scheduled an appointment for me next Tuesday. Dr. Turner told them to schedule me as the last appt of the day so that he and I will have all the time we need to discuss my situation and alternatives.
This is wonderful that they were able to accommodate me while I am in LA visiting my son and on such short notice.
Just wanted to share.

Thanks guys. Maybe this last PSA rise was a blip, probably not though. As I have done throughout this journey, I have always been proactive.
Even when my PSA was rising I probably had more scan and tests than most people here. I always wanted the latest info on my condition so I could act when the time came.
No difference this time.
The best advocate any of us can have is ourselves. I don't think I could pay someone to be more active than I am when it comes to my case.
BTW, I went an had a re-test of the PSA today and should have the results tomorrow.
Now I would categorize this as a Bonus Day in my world.

Way to go Sonny. That puts Dr. Turner on a big pedestal for me.
Hoping and praying for the best advice he can give for you, and others as well.

Sounds like a good game plan, and hoping it was a blip. If not, you sound, as usual, well prepared to move ahead. Hoping for the best for you.

Sonny,
Always good to hear good news. It has to be in context, but great minds may be of a mind to come up with a good next step.
I suspect this was all what you were about
to tell me on the phone.
I'm holding on to "every day is a bonus".

Great news that you got the appointment!
You are really going to like Dr. Turner.
All of those guys are fantastic.
Tell him the Cajun folks said "Hello" and that we'll see him September too!

Sonny – sorry to hear about
your rise in PSA, I pray it’s just an anomaly. Great that you got the appointment with Turner, I hope he’ll have some good options for you. Enjoy your visit with your son.

Dr. Turner is great. We saw him regularly when Eric was a patient at Dr. Leibowitz's practice and his departure is one of the reasons we no longer go there.

Let me echo what others have said about
how much you will enjoy having Dr Jeffrey Turner as your second opinion Medical Oncologist.
The Worry Warts pointed us his way and Karen and I were both really impressed with Dr Turner.
