Noahsark,

The day I was scheduled form my RALP, the DaVinci machine was being used on another procedure and broke down. After a three hour delay, my urologist came in and asked if we could cancel. I sure did not want them operating on me with a broken machine. I ended up having surgery five days later and surgery went extremely well. Hope yours does too.

As my cancer had already spread surgery was no option. Just wanted to let you know that HT has given me over 7 good years before it's ultimate failure. My MO has quite a few more tricks up her sleeve and I'll be posting on my new therapy in two weeks. Best of luck with your RP, and so sorry about the delay. What a horrid wait that must have been . . . Q

Hi all,
Just received my first PSA result 6 weeks after surgery 0.010..!! very relieved and hoping for many more zero's as I live to a long and ripe old age.. Having my first post op review this Friday where I will hopefully meet with my surgeon for the first time and find out more which i will happily share.. recovery has gone well albeit with ed and minor continence problems which is the side affect of choosing life..

Noah, I'm glad you disregarded much of the advise posted here about surgery and how, in your case, it would probably be a waste of time...Even if in the future salvage radiation becomes necessary, and it might, you are way ahead having removed 99%, possibly 100% of the tumor(s)..Any future treatment will have a much better chance of being successful with the bulk of the tumor gone...Best of luck to you..
