been gone for a while

I left months ago for many reasons, primarily because I wanted to get away from PCA and the various controversies. However, I have had the sling installed and feel I should give a report.

I got sick of the dribbling, I know a lot have it far worse but I would have dry days followed by damp days and some occasional pants change.

I had the Advance sling installed on December 13, I was out the next day, took a week to get back on my feet. The surgeon fixed a couple of hernias at the same time.

I have been pretty much bone dry since, a few minor issues if I just wait way too long to go but I think I am normal for a 59 year old. There has been no pain, no issues, all is good.

When the nurse called at my weight, I was shocked and made her repeat it three times. She finally said we can do this all day but you will still weigh 287. I the next couple of months I took off 50 lbs and that fixed a lot.
I did have a partial colectomy in March to get rid of my diverticulitis. Sepsis is no fun and I should have done it 25 years ago.

Glad you posted an update on the sling. And well done to drop 50. Sounds like you're ready to enjoy well deserved success from both accomplishments!

Let me explain the current controversies -- no, there is too much, let me sum up. Oh, sorry, there's really nothing new. SSDD. And yet, still great data from almost every post.
