Hello,
I don't want to be negative concerning the other guys comments. But the day of my catheter removal and that night was really rough on me. I went thru several of the heavy pads. Every time I went to the rest room I wet all over myself before I could get my depends down. This went on all night long. At 8am I am on the phone with the doctor losing my mind. He assured me that in a couple of weeks it would get better. He was right, in a couple weeks I only carried a pad in all four pants pockets and a couple in my jacket when I left the house for a few hours. I was a basket case, I wasn't prepared for the plumbing issues. Most men can handle that but not me, my nerves were shot. Please don't let this scare you, if I would have known that this could happen I would have been a little better prepared. Understand that the first 3 - 4 weeks will not be the new normal. He will get better every day. I am 7 months out and wear one heavy pad a day. I have mild incontinence, most days the pad is dry at the end of the day. I am steadily improving and hope to be dry in a few short months. Hang in there, HW is the best thing that has happened to me. These guys has been a blessing.
