The question is would your treatment be any different if you found out it was a bony met.
If so, may want to have the F18 Sodium test that is less subjective than the standard bone scintigram that is more of a Rorshack test subject to radiologist's opinion when viewing it.
You should get a physical CD of your prior bone scan and have a radiation oncologist review it in your presence to walk you through it rather than relying on the urologist who in general is usually not that much more adept than a layman reviewing bone scans.
In my experience the uro relied too much of the written report and not enough on the scan itself.
You can probably find a location close to you in western Michigan that will do an F18, generally covered by insurance too, but if you want to travel, Dr. Fabio Almeida at Arizona Molecular Imaging is great and does 3-4 of these a day.
