Update on rising psa

Had PSA on 11/3/2041, result was 0,091 . The before this one was 0.109 what I don't remember if I went three days without sex before i had it done . I went five day without sex for the one I had this month . Before I left the U.S. to come to the Philippines I done the molasses and baking soda things for about six days . I explain every thing to my doctor and asked when should i repeat the test . I will up day the forum when I have new information from my doctor.

My doctor told me I should not have sexual activity for two days, so not sure where you got the three days from. Also no strenuous activity, that includes bike riding and such, If you have had a DRE then it is recommended to wait two weeks before a PSA test.

By the way. If you had your PSA test done on "11/3/2041" That is a pretty long wait smilewinkgrin

didn't have a DRE before the PSA test , first test was in Sept 2014 and the last one was this month. Some information I read on the internet said three days and some say that having sex before test don't have
any effect on the result .

You don't have a prostate. Having sex or a DRE does not matter. Nothing will affect your PSA except the return of cancer.

Thinking about repeating the test at a lab I used about three years ago and i use them more than once.
Just don't know how long I should wait before having it done.

There is a tool to calcualte PSA Doubling Time but fortunately two of your three results are below the lower limit of 0.1.

Not sure if it is valid to do so but I tried plugging your PSA *10 into the tool and assumed 15th of the month except for Nov 14, used 11-03-14 (not the typo 41)

So no need to adjust some of these results by a factor of 10, but even without the tool, your PSA seems level with an average PSA of 0.093

Up to you whether to just actively surveil with that as your new normal or to try and figure out why it is not lower.

That's a tough one. What did you doctor think about the results?

In general it looks stable but is it rising? I don't think you need to be thinking about further treatments but maybe retest in three months and see where you are.
