Barb, I replied on the other thread. I agree with Gunner34, about the port. It makes things so much easier. My husband had it put in for the third round. ( he was very apprehensive , thought it was too invasive) but then regretted not getting it sooner. Makes it so much easier for all infusions, blood work , etc. the veins can take a beating. As I mentioned in the other thread, the side effects were not that bad. He did get more tired. Was able to keep working. about the third to fourth day into each round is when he would get the most run down. He would go into work a little later or come home early. He stayed active and still does. Works out everyday. It's important to keep building those muscles and staying active. Have they done any other test for small cell or nueroendocrine type cells? What was his Gleason score?
