How many people who have radical prostatectomies keep their Cowper's Gland?

I've never heard of someone having their Cowper's Gland removed during RP.

Seminal vessicles, yes (always); but Cowper's Gland, no.

Yes: Mine was removed during the robotic procedure.  I miss not having it since it provided some lubrication.  Now I must use artificial lube.  I never asked the surgeon why it was removed.  It is my understanding that it is removed 1/2 of the time?

Mine was left in-tact, and seems to produce much more fluid than it did prior to surgery. (Perhaps my use of Viagra, which began only after the surgery, increases blood flow to the Cowper's Gland?)

Actually, my surgeon said they do indeed, remove it sometimes during a RP surgery, depends on the circumstances. Mine was left intact, and it has been very, very active from day one. So much so, that during the climax with sex, its pretty convincing (to me), that a full old-style load of ejaculate is about to exit. Of course, that's not going to happen, post RP, but it sure feels that way at the very moment.

Before people invented KY, Elbow Grease and other lubes, Cowper's Gland was God's "heavenly" Lube for Men. Without it the "active" male could get skin burns and blisters, but this natural stuff is like an oasis in a dry desert! And, its hand-friendly!

After my Op, I seem to have "cow-pious" amounts of the stuff.

You seem to have quite a "convincing" imagination, but that's not how the Cowper's Gland works.

Prior to ejaculation, in other words before ejaculation not during and sometimes as early as during foreplay, the Cowper's Gland uneventfully releases fluid. A lot of guys here have commented that they think they are peeing a few drops before climax if by hand (they see the fluid emerge from their tip just prior to climax) or spousal feedback during BJ, but that's the Cowper's fluid, not urine (although there could also be some urine there during release for some guys...probably what you are feeling, Purgatory. Ask wife what it tastes like.)
