Travling_guy, sorry to hear about
your scans. I can't provide any suggestion on the financials, but having bone mets, you should be made aware of an initial Flare Effect caused by Lupron. To minimize this condition, you should be on the Casodex for at least 7-10 days PRIOR to the Lupron shot. This flare is not an issue with Firmagon. This article on the subject is a little dated -->
prostate-cancer.org/clinical-flare-a-crisis-that-can-be-avoided/As for the bone pain; no recommendation on what to take for it now, other than over the counter stuff. I had serious hip pain from mets and a few weeks after getting my first Lupron shot, I started getting great relief. Have not had any issue with hip pain since starting treatments. Hope you can get similar relief.
As wampuscats suggested, clinical trials can be a great source of treatment, at little to no cost.
All my best,
