question regarding robotics cancer removing procedure for my father- urgent

My father age is 75
Prostate cancer (locally on left side only; not spreaded)
Would like to do Robotic surgery to remove the prostate. He is traveling to Singapore to be seen at Singapore General Hospital the cost is around USD $40,000 which is cheaper than MT Elizabeth Hospital.( he is not from USA).
Any recommendation about doctors in that hospital who is good in robotics cancer removing procedure.?
Is there any good hospital or doctors in Thailand ( as that might be cheaper)
Is Robotics cancer removing procedure the best option for him now?

Can't help with DRs in Thailand, but questions to ask...

How many robotic prostatectomies has he done ? You want at least 3-500 but more the better, AOME doctors have done thousands and that's whatvyou really want

What is the docs rates fa positive margins

That's all I can think of now, but others will chime in. Try to get referrals to more than one surgeon totalks to.

At your fathers age though, is there any reason you don't wat to consider radiation? It might help us if you posted your fathers information, like Gleasonscore how many cores positive/taken,etc and any other info from the biopsy report

At 75 your father is getting pretty old for such surgery. Radiation is often as effective as surgery and might be safer in an older man.
Seed radiation is cheaper than surgery and is usually effective.
Do you know his PSA and Gleason score?

I assume he is not eligible for Medicare in the USA. What is his nationality and does his home country have treatment options for him?

I am w/ the others on whether surgery is the best option. I am not a medical professional of course but from everything I've read and from what my husband's first urologist said, at your father's age it usually is not the recommended treatment.

As others have said, 75 is kind of old for major surgery.

You did not include any DX information, but just MHO, 75 is an age to think about other treatments. From what you did describe, RT would be something to look into first at that age. It sounded like it was localized but that may be just what I read into your message.

I have no ideas about places overseas. I take it that Medicare here in the US is out of the question?
