I had a PSA test run today in preparation for my upcoming trip to NIH for a diagnostic clinical trial, later this month. I know that they will do blood work including PSA and I wanted a baseline number from the MDA lab where I have had test since beginning this journey in June 2009.
I am very happy to report that my new PSA number is 8.2.
This is down from 11.89 (August) to 10.0 (October) to 8.9.0 (November). For those that my not know, this is great news for me since I started HT (Lupron) in February of this year with a PSA of 92.5.
As I wrote in my earlier post about
the clinical trial; IF my PSA continues to drop or flatline AND IF the scans from NIH show no new activity AND reduced volume of the lymph nodes, then I am going to lobby for a break from HT for a few months.
This news today certainly counts in my book as a "GREAT FARKIN BONUS DAY",
Sonny

Hi Gunner, great news on Sonny. Hope your doing well.
Sonny I'm so stinking excited that the numbers are still going down. I called Roger as soon as I got home to let him know.

Sonny, This is fantastic! Would you like a chart with l2nd and 3rd order polynomial, and logarithmic curve fits to hang on your wall?
Mardi Gras will be so much sweeter.
