The reason that instructions about
making links clickable never seem to work for other people is that there is a completely different editor for people who use Internet Explorer and people who use some other browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.).
The IE-facing browser usually just recognizes things like "https://www.healingwell.com" as links and converts them for you. There is also a globe-with-a-few-links-of-chain icon that pops a window where you can type your address (starting with http://).
The Firefox- and Chrome-facing editor requires that you type "[
url]" before the address and "[
/url]" after it. (like this: [
url]https://www.healingwell.com[
/url].) There is a button at the top (with "URL" on it) but all it does is type the "[
url]" and "[
url]" for you. There is also a more complicated form that makes the link text different from the web address. Here's an example:
