This article, by Dr. D'Amico and one of his colleagues, provides a good current overview of radiation therapy for prostate cancer.  I think it would be worthwhile reading for anyone who is considering radiation treatment.

Interesting article, although I didn't notice a single mention of HDR brachytherapy.

They didn't spend much time on it, but that last paragraph under "Brachytherapy" is devoted to HDR.

I am really impressed by Dr. D'Amico. There are interviews with him in the Harvard Prostate publications, I liked the info in them:

He is in our city, but my husband is getting his care through another hospital with another radiation oncologist. My husband chose radiation as his initial treatment. He had a bone scan today, and is just beginning the initial treatment appointments. He'll also have six months of Lupron and other meds.

Its great to see a honing of treatment as progress is being made in such! hats off to the researchers involved and you for posting. side note... sloppy surf... Off to the Gym to say Yes!!!
