I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your wife. As was noted above, there are a few of us guys here who have ourselves had this truly awful experience.

Like me. I lost my own dear wife of 39 years just about four years ago to cardiac arrest, so when I say "I know how you feel," I can say it and mean it.

We have a saying here on this forum, that the people here are members of a club that no one wants to belong to. Well, that's just as true, and maybe even more so, for those of us who have lost a spouse.

But it also means that there are people here who have dealt with this awful experience, and who can offer excellent advice on how to deal with it, and overcome the monumental challenges that it has brought into your life.

So you are more than welcome to ask us anytime questions about how we have handled losing our soulmates, and we hope we will be able to provide answers that will help. Feel free to ask any questions anytime.

I just now, this evening, read of your very sad news. I feel bad for you and your family. You have always been a good and genuine friend to me, I think of all the hours we use to chat together on Chat Night a few years ago.

I was aware of her bladder cancer, but didn't realize that it was that serious. All my doctor's had ruled out bladder removal surgery after I had all the complications post my Urostomy Surgery, when my bladder got fried by the SRT. They ruled that the operation could prove fatal, so no one would agree or permit it to take place.

I am so sorry that surgical complications ended her life. If you want to talk, I am more than willing to help you in any possible way. Please e-mail me if you are up to it.

So very sad about this, and hope over time, you can find a sense of healing for yourself, and your family.
May she dearly rest in peace, to suffer no more in the flesh.

I can not imagine the feeling of the loss of a wife, that closeness, and effect so strong that you must be going through with a heavy heart. But she is not really gone as you remember all the good memories and cherish her in your heart and spirit. I have lost parents and a nephew very suddenly,each one, just wished for more time with each, it's just very hard to deal with. But I go on, with faith, believing that they are truly in a much better place, and no more pain, just peace. Know that there are many here that can be a support to you and count on us, my e-mail is also listed. Take care,my brother and know that you are loved, as she loved you, that feeling will endure.

Thank you dear friends. Special thanks to Purgatory, who was perhaps the first person to communicate with me here at Healingwell, years ago. It helps to know that there are people who care and understand.

I am so sorry to say that she passed away last weekend. I am so sad. Thank you for your support.

I finally got the balls to read this post. My tears are welling up for you, DJBearGuy. We just lost our daughter-in-law to evil cancer right before Christmas, so I can kind of "feel your pain" so to speak. May God bless you and keep you, DJ!

I am so sorry. She is in God's hands now. Many of us here have first-hand experience with similar losses, and all I can say is that I wish you Godspeed through the difficult journey in the weeks and months ahead. But know that the fond memories are a gift that remains with you forever.
