Thanks very much Dewayne. Sounds like what I am experiencing right now is normal then. I have tried the squeezing thing when it stings, but just makes it worse.

Dont laugh at this (I know you will) but I was thinking about the ejaculate thing today. I have linked seeds and I have this vision (I have lots of those) that when I do manage to fire one off the seeds will come out and hang there like a glowing pearl necklace smhair Then I go to thinking what I would do. Do I pull them out or try and push them back using a tooth pick.......Just ignore me, it will pass smilewinkgrin

The radiation fatigue hits everyone differently. I got it bad towards the end of my IMRT, but not everyone does. Mine got better within a couple of weeks of ending treatment.

A little extra sleep this week might be a good thing as would be walking as your able to.

Hi Andrew. Yes much better today thanks. Here it is almost 10.pm and I am still wide awake. If I did not have this aching and stinging in my pipe then I would I feel 100%

So as promised here is my weekly update.

I am now 10 days out of my LDR treatment and to be honest I am feeling like nothing has happened to change my life. My energy levels are back, no pain up my bum and only slight pain when I have a pee. I can even achive a full erection without any form of discomfort turn

The only difference that I have noticed is that I now have to get up 3 times a night for a pee, where before it was just once. No blood in my pee either, that stopped last Tuesday.

I have an appointment for a scan on the 25th of this month to make sure everything is in place, and an appointment with my uro on the 30th of March (blood draw a week before that)

Right now I am a pretty happy camper yeah

Caspar, so glad that things are going well. I'm sure the getting up to pee frequently will subside over time.

Well, I'd wait until about the 3 week mark - pretty sure that's what I did. I won't be the gruesomeness of post biopsy, but for me there's much less fluid. Still likin' it though for sure! smilewinkgrin

Ok Yoops, message received and understood. BUT! Little Willy is starting to get very naughty smilewinkgrin So is there a "medical" reason for me not giving him a little "spank" sooner? eyes

I didn't wait, Casper....wanted to make sure everything was intact. I don't recall any problems, but we did use a condom for a while. What little discharge there was was quite awful...much like after a biopsy.

LoL LoL LoL. Ok, if you must know all the gory details it was slightly tinted brown at first then almost clear.

One thing that did surprise me was that there was MORE than usual. I thought after reading what others said it would be less!

Congratulations on your recovery; sounds great! I know every person is different so no over-confidence here but it is nice to see another example of progression after LDR Brachy. I will have my pre-op appointment on Feb. 12th and the procedure on the 18th. At 46 years old, I feel like I'm going against conventional wisdom but maybe I can represent a long term Brachy success story in the future if all goes well. Thanks again for the updates and good luck on your continued recovery!

Thanks bigrich. Yes I am very pleased with how my treatment went and the fact I have suffered no side effects (at the moment) Apart from a fairly sharp pain when I pee and almost the same when I ejaculate I have not noticed any difference. I should imagine the pain thing is due to the prostate still being inflamed and should improve as time goes on. To be honest I dont find it that bothersome.

Good luck with your treatment, I am sure you will be fine. I will be interested to hear how many seeds they plant and if they are linked or single. I had 91 linked seeds planted in my poor little walnut.

Thanks WindsorV8. As I said in your own thread I think LDR would be a good choice for you. Especially as you have mentioned there that you are concerned about side effects. It was the fear of side effects that made me go for LDR.

That is probably the reason that most of us made the 'brachy' choice. And there are a lot of satisfied customers in this camp.

Well another week has passed so time for another update.

Apart from a little pain during ejaculation I would think that I have had no treatment. I have even started wondering if they forgot to radiate the seeds first before implanting them, that's how "normal" things appear to be.

My next step will be my CT scan on the 25th of this month.
