My husband started on buproprion about
6 months ago, and it's been a lifesaver. He went into a pretty serious funk -- first he was in a ton of pain for months (he had bone mets), then he got a really scary cancer diagnosis, then he went on hormone therapy. It was a dramatic personality change and incredibly hard on him, and our family. "Incredibly hard" is a serious understatement. It was bad. To not just unpleasant but also dangerous levels.
Things are much much better now. I don't give buproprion 100% of the credit (he's done some other smart things -- started seeing a counselor, etc.), but I think it really helped.
