Had my surgery on May 1st 2014. Things are fairly back to normal but no problems have risen. I may need to post in another area of this forum. As far as issues dealing with the prostate, I'm still dripping on occasion, this is not a problem. I have gas that builds up and I don't release normally anymore. I have to sit on the toilet and push some to pass gas. Usually pee at the same time. If I try to pass gas standing, it is very difficult. Laying on my left side or sitting is best. My bowel movements are also a problem and may be a result of what my Fecal test showed. I am scheduled for a Colonoscopy on March 6. A call from a nurse last week said they wanted to look in my stomach as well. They found that my wind pipe has thickening walls. I am more worried about
this than anything I've had stomach pain and cramps for at least a month off and on. Pepto Bismo and anti acids tabs have helped greatly.
So the good news is all my blood tests for prostate cancer are neg, but It looks like a new set of issues are popping up. I guess I'm at that age (65). Please wish me luck on my upcoming procedure.

Except for the bowel stuff, sounds like you're doing okay.
The colonoscopy should show the doc what's wrong in there. Years ago I was having some problems and they found a couple of polyps. They were removed and things cleared up fast. Here's hoping that whatever it is, is easy to fix.
Hang in there,

I hear you about
being at that age. It seems every couple of years something new pops up .... or off. Last week I had to have a retina lazerd back into place. Reminded me of tack welding.
Best wishes and good luck as you move forward.

I learned a phrase when I first joined HW and it was: "Never trust a fart." I learned what they meant after my surgery and I still don't trust them. Hope things continue to improve for you.

Thank you for your replies. I never trust a fart, for years now-lol! They need to explore and repair the plumbing down in there.

I've actually learned to fart without squirting, as long as my bladder isn't overly full.
It's an art form

OK, Endoscopy, and Colonoscopy complete. Waiting on results. they did find 3 polups and removed them-sent to lab. I have hemorrhoids, Diverticulitis, and stomach ulcers. Taking Metamucil now and Prilosec.
Abdominal pain is getting less. Life is good!

That's good for you..everything is in control.
polyps are quite commons. Likely you will need a follow-up in half an year time.
All the best.

What they found sounds manageable. Hope the path results come back OK. What did they say about
your passing gas problem?

I forgot to mention the gas problem. I may be talking to a doctor soon and can bring that up.
