Lymph node question

Hi all,

2015 has been a pretty crappy year so far, litteraly. Thankfully, Danny's cancer still is at bay; however, he's been battling serious diarrhea since Nov. Part of the problem was C Diff which casued him to have an 11 day stay in the hospital. Colonoscopy/Endoscopy didn't reveal anything, which is great...but still no answers and still unrelenting diarrhea.

His last CT Scan was in Jan, which showed that 2 lymph nodes have almost doubled in size.The oncologist mentioned this in passing, and didn't seem too worried about it. But in my mind, anything that doubles in size is worrisome. PSA is still 0 and nothing else was problematic on the CT Scan. Can lymph nodes get bigger when the body is fighting infection, or could it be an indication that the cancer is coming back?

According to report these lymph nodes....retroperitioneal lymph nodes in the region of the left renal hilum. Yes, 12 lymph nodes removed on right side, none came back positive for cancer. Not sure how many were removed on left, but 2 came back positive for cancer.

No on the fecal transplant, just 3 different antibiotics, orally and IV. He had colonoscopy/endoscopy on Fri....came back negative for everything. Dr saying IBS, having hard time believing that he can get it all of a sudden and last for 4 months? Even at my worst, couple weeks max. Not diarrhea everyday for 4 months which caused him to drop 15 lbs. He looks thinner and paler than he did after his major surgery in 3013.

We're back at MD Anderson this week to see if the can do something about closing ureter...it was put off because of C Diff. Also seeing gastro here.
