Hi MauviViv -- Yes, I believe the reason the manufacturers dose the new clothing before (or at the time of) shipment with formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals, is so when the clothes get to where they are going, they have that crisp, no wrinkles "new" look and finish to them. The other reason I've read is they do it especially for natural fiber (cotton) material to prevent mildew on the clothing before the retail store receives it. Some of the chemicals are to "set" or "fix" the color dyes that were used in manufacture. I bought some richly colored summertime "Hawaii shirts" in Bali 20 years ago and two of them kept leaving colored dyes on my body no matter how many times I washed them.
Hi Logo -- That's occurred to me too, that the rash could result from friction between my penis and urine on the pad. I'll let you know what the dermatologist says next week.
Yup, I'm ecstatic my incontinence the past 2-3 weeks is unmistakably changing for the much better. Never more than one pad/day any more, and just a squirt now and then when I cough or roll over in bed or stand up. I'm a photographer and if I often contort my body twisting or crouching down and such, for an interesting angle, that's Squirt Time too. Still, the unintended unwanted uncontrolled flow from early on is 95 percent gone. I think my body has, from Kegels and maybe just it's own ancient built-in wisdom, moved close to dry, and that dry is coming. Unthinkable to me only a month ago. There's reason to hope !!!
