Had my catheter removed 3days ago after being in for three weeks ! Had it removed after two weeks only to have it put back because I couldn't void . Thus the third week .
Had a radical prostatectomy, now the stream is very week and sometimes just dribbles. Was up three times in the night last night 👿
Will the stream improve over time or do I need to go back to the urologist for a scope .

welcome to hw.
It should improve with time. Your body is still healing. If it doesn't, keep talking to your URO. There are things they can do to help.

I would see the urologist for a possible stricture, tho admittedly 3 weeks is very recent and you are still healing as noted. How ever it is my belief that if you have a concern, a patient should seek answers from their doctors, before internet forums. I understand the anonymous internet qualms fears, but at what cost? Your doctor know much more about you than anyone on any forum does. Fear not your doctor and his expertise. Fear those who only want to sooth and not be frank… Oh also ,you yourself are not a doctor, so why prescribe the treatment to your doctor? fwiw

Zumo,
You should call your urologists office, talk to the nurse about your weak stream and your nighttime frequency, and ask if the doctor feels like you need to come in or if it should wait for your next scheduled visit. Often, unless a problem is urgent, a urologist will want to wait a while after surgery to let things heal before poking around to see what is going on.

After the RP, my stream was so strong I wanted to invite my friends over to watch!!!
Unfortunately, I ended up being a leaker and needed followup sling surgery to fix it.
After the sling surgery and the catheter removal I had to return to the emergency room later that evening because I could not urinate at all. The ride to the ER was a most unpleasant experience. Ouch!
From one extreme to the other!

My BIL had recent RP surgery and four weeks after the RP he started having reduced urinary flow issues. He called me about the issue and told to call his uro surgeon immediately, which he did. When he was seen by the uro (scope check) a stricture was found which was caused by an abrasion injury when his catheter was removed. This reguired additional treatment to open the stricture.
My suggestion to you as well, is to call your surgeon back for a scope check. Especially since this is your second go around with this issue.
Good luck....

First few weeks I urinated like a lawn sprinkler-wound up sitting down to avoid the mess. Dr said this would correct itself as my volume improved. Fortunately he was right!
