So I'm at our family's cottage in Maine for a 2 week vacation. Arrived Sunday afternoon, literally minutes before a massive thunderstorm system rolled through. I don't know when I've sat up here through a storm like that one.
Today, however, is a gorgeous summer day in New England. This morning I went to town to get some plants for some erosion control/landscaping work we're having done. It's really a good thing: there is a grant-funded organization that brings in high school and college kids to work on these projects, and all the customer does is buy the materials. Then, this afternoon, with my wife's help I got the Sunfish in the water, then I got the sail set and went for a sail. THAT spells GFMPH for me. Came back, had a short swim, then sat in an adirondack chair on the shore for a while to dry off.
Later, grilled chicken for dinner, and maybe a trip to town for ice cream. Can it get better?
