The story so far should be in my signature if I did that part right but just in case:
Age 50 (just), been married 2 years...
7/6/14 PSA: 1.07 had always been around 1..0
7/6/15 PSA: 4.3 DRE: Negative (PCP)
7/17/15 PSA: 2.56
8/10/15 PSA 8.41
8/14/15 PSA: 8.5 PHI 47.5 DRE: 'Enlarged' no nodules, feels benign (URO)
So basically I have a PSA that is swinging all over the place followed by a PHI of 47.5 - not so good. I do ride horses and my wife with regularity.
My mind just constantly goes to the ‘surgery’ and all of the terrible side effects. It seems that the ‘true’ prevalence of impotence/incontinence is high if a meta-analysis of posts here is anything to go by (though by definition it’s a slanted population). Orgasm seems to be largely screwed up if it happens to exist…
I married a beautiful red hot woman 2 years ago… love her to bits but she’s only 43… feel like I’m destroying her life too.
I know, I know, it’s not a done deal yet… which is why I need the help… sanity, how to get back to it? You've been there... HELP!

Easy Peasy, Paul: just do not have the surgery. Even if you get beyond your current situation and are diagnosed with PC, if you have the most common form of PC(G6) you might not even have to have any treatment. And you sure as heck won't have to have surgery, there are other treatments. Sex with a smoking hot wife certainly needs to be one of the considerations when deciding on treatments(
IF ANY and the relative pros and cons of said treatments. But you definitely don't have to have surgery, assuming you are ever actually diagnosed with PC. Which at this time you are not.
See how easy that is? Stop worrying about
surgery: just don't have it.
