Dear Sue, I am so sorry to learn that you and Dave have concluded the terrible journey that we have just begun. Your devotion and love for Dave and your determination to find a cure have been an inspiration to me and to so many others. Sue, I am very sorry for your loss. Your love and devotion to Dave were so very obvious to all of us and I'm sure he felt them completely during these past difficult weeks. My prayers are with you and your family.

Have followed this thread for some time and I'm so sorry for your loss Sue. This terrible disease takes so much from men and their partners and families. You fought it as hard and as bravely as anyone could.

Sue, I have followed this thread and am so sorry for your loss.
You have looked after your man so fiercely and with so much love. You fought so hard. The thought of Dave stroking your hair as you cried at the pain of him leaving makes me cry.

I have no words. Cancer is so cruel. I am am so sorry Dave is gone.

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your love. He was a very lucky man to have you in his life and from your words, you were equally lucky to have him in your life. I wish, wished thT the two of you would find that magic concoction that would offer a cure, but albeit, somewhat selfishly.

I hope that you find peace in knowing that you did everything humanly possible to help him through this dreaded disease. May your husband rest in peace.

Sue –

Like all the others, I am most sorry to hear of your loss of your dear Dave.

I'm afraid that I can also say that I know exactly how you feel because I do, because I am myself the other side of this terrible coin. about four years ago I lost my own beloved spouse, Marilyn, after a wonderful marriage of 39 years.

But I won't at this time pretend to offer you any advice based on my own experience on how to deal with this, this thing that amounts to an attack on your very soul and spirit. And while there are others here on this forum who are also widows and widowers, who might wish to add their own thoughts on how they coped, I do believe such words as those are best said on another day.

For right now please just know that you have a lot of people here who do care and who sincerely wish to offer their most heartfelt condolences to you.

This is a strange, online electronic world that we inhabit here on this forum. But I most sincerely hope that our heartfelt sympathy for you comes through it, and that you can, in some way, feel it.

May God spread his wings of love and comfort over you at this tragic time, and lift your spirit.

I have just spent three hours reading all the threads from the beginning. The courage, respect and love found in these posts is awe inspiring. I have tears as I type this.

My heart goes out to Sue, her family and everyone else in this thread. Your are truly guardian angels.

Tomorrow is a come and go celebration of Daves life. To every single one of you who have posted condolences to myself and my family thank you from the bottom of my heart. It helps when I read your kind and loving thought. Most of you have been there right from the start when I tried to make sence of Dave having stage 4 prostate cancer. I still can't make sense of it all and I just know even as bad as the diagnosis is we all have tried to do what we think is right to keep us here longer. Alot of people when they loose someone they have loved as long as I have loved Dave find reading about those of you fighting the fight find it hard to hear whats going on . But it won't be me I have gained so much from all of you. I turn shared what we found out .knowledge is power and the more ecucated we become about PC the better off for the person who just found out today. This thread was so full of my frustration and anguish as I lived each day watching Dave go through terrible illness and complications from Pc. There was so little I could do, no bandaid could ever make it go away. But no one should ever give up and even the day he passed I was still trying my best to help him every way I could. SO today love your man just a little bit more with a extra hug and kiss because today I would give anything to be able to do that to Dave. Oh God Hon how I love you !!💙💙💙 XOXO

Oh Sue... breaks my heart reading this. It really does. Throughout this thread, you have been so painfully honest and REAL and typed everything as if it all came tumbling out of your heart - which of course it did. I have no idea why this happened to you and Dave. No idea why it happens to any of us. For you it seemed particularly cruel with all the twists and turns and hopes and disappointments. Dave will always be with you - in your heart and mind and spirit. He is probably missing you as much as you miss him, but in a different, all-knowing way. All I can do is wish you much love, and that time heals a little of the pain, although that sentiment seems a bit ridiculous at the moment. Hugs xoxoxoxox

Sue, I've thought of you with a heavy heart so much these past few days and every chance I get I give Gary another kiss, knowing we are all in the same awful place of trying to get as many moments together as we can. Our hearts ache with you and for you!

Sue, I know today will be exactly that - a celebration of the man you love and your lives together. What a wonderful and a beautiful way to honor him. As this celebration goes on today know that we are with you.

I don't think I'm saying this too soon because I know you well enough by now, Sue. You have been and I sincerely hope will continue to be a voice here because you bring your full heart to this place. Thank YOU for your strong support.
